Tres Generaciones comes from the Sauza family, a family of great leaders in the industry during a tumultuous time in Mexican history. Founded by Don Cenobio Sauza in 1873, the groundwork for creating fine tequila was laid and a great tradition was born. After passing down his legacy of distilling great tequila using only the best ingredients, Don Eladio Sauza took over the distillery in 1903 at just 20 years old. Helping his father’s dream of sharing their great Tequila with the world from to fruition, Don established multiple distribution centers throughout Mexico, Spain and other countries.

Soon after, the Mexican Revolution broke out but Don Eladio remained strong in his family business, and surrounded it with a patriotism that was soon followed and adored by others, making tequila a national pride. From there, Don Francisco Javier inherited the family company and then created what we now have today: Tres Generaciones Tequila.

Not only did Don Francisco establish the Tres Generaciones brand, but he helped to establish the Origin of Denomination for Tequila, requiring that it must be aged, distilled, and bottled in the region of Jalisco, Mexico in order to be considered authentic tequila.

Not only is this tequila a testament to the true strength of the Mexican people, but it’s a product of family tradition and authenticity that cannot be cloned.
