In addition to trying three different types of Don Julio añejo, you’ll also get to explore the flavors and tradition of Tres Generaciones tequila.

Tres Generaciones

Tres Generaciones comes from the Sauza family, a family of great leaders in the industry during a tumultuous time in Mexican history. Founded by Don Cenobio Sauza in 1873, the groundwork for creating fine tequila was laid and a great tradition was born. After passing down his legacy of distilling great tequila using only the best ingredients, Don Eladio Sauza took over the distillery in 1903 at just 20 years old. Helping his father’s dream of sharing their great Tequila with the world from to fruition, Don established multiple distribution centers throughout Mexico, Spain and other countries.

Soon after, the Mexican Revolution broke out but Don Eladio remained strong in his family business, and surrounded it with a patriotism that was soon followed and adored by others, making tequila a national pride. From there, Don Francisco Javier inherited the family company and then created what we now have today: Tres Generaciones Tequila.

Not only did Don Francisco establish the Tres Generaciones brand, but he helped to establish the Origin of Denomination for Tequila, requiring that it must be aged, distilled, and bottled in the region of Jalisco, Mexico in order to be considered authentic tequila.

Not only is this tequila a testament to the true strength of the Mexican people, but it’s a product of family tradition and authenticity that cannot be cloned.

Plata

This unaged, crystal-clear Tequila is made from 100 percent Blue Agave Tequila. On the nose, you’ll notice hints of fleshy agave, sweet floral notes, and a hint of citrus. On the palate, this tequila possesses qualities of spice and a deep background of herbs and fresh agave as well. Not just flavorful, the Plata is extremely smooth without any bite and a great balance. To top it all off, you’ll enjoy white pepper and a clean and cool finish.

Reposado

This Tequila from Tres Generaciones is triple-distilled for smoothness and aged in American Oak barrels for a minimum of four months. Gold in color, this tequila has plenty to offer in flavor and aroma. Starting on the nose, you’ll notice a hint of pepper, some spices and herbs and an overall oaky character. Smooth, round and lightly sweet, you’ll enjoy spice, toasted oak, and a background of herbs and fresh agave. To finish it off, you’ll love how warm and dry it is with a nice touch of white pepper to top it all off.

Añejo

For the finale, you’ll get to enjoy this fantastic añejo.

Made with 100 percent blue agave tequila and aged in American oak barrels for 12 months. Pale amber in color, smooth and smoky in its body, you’ll notice aromas of oak, cooked agave, and hints of caramel vanilla. On the palate you’ll enjoy flavors of brown sugar and a fade into a soft oak and clean agave with a warm and oaky finish.
